September is World Alzheimer’s Month and September 21, 2013 is World Alzheimer’s Day

2 September 2013 – September 2013 will mark the second global World Alzheimer’s Month, an international campaign to raise awareness and challenge stigma. The theme for World Alzheimer’s Month 2013 is Dementia: a journey of caring.\

During September, Alzheimer’s Disease International will lauch the World Alzheimer Report 2013. This report will consider the continuum of care. Find out more about the World Alzheimer Report.

In addition, September 21st is World Alzheimer’s Day. The decision to introduce the full month was made to enable national and local Alzheimer associations worldwide to extend programs over a longer period of time.

September 21st remains the cornerstone of the global Alzheimer’s movement, coinciding with the launch of the 2013 World Alzheimer Report.
